Duck in Boots was established in 2017 and begun as a small shop in a grade 2 listed building in the heart of Sudbury town centre.

We opened our doors with just 12 small businesses by our side and with a 10 day old baby and 3 year old in tow.

Sarah staffed the shop mostly on her own but was also joined by many of the artisan business owners regularly, which added to the creative experience customers could enjoy.

More than just a shop, our mission is to create a creative experience where customers can find the perfect gift no matter the occasion. By having artisans in the shop too, customers can have their personal requirements met and custom designs created just for them.

Our aim has always been to blend creative and unique handmade design with beautiful finds and brands from around the world. The result is eclectic, from beautiful brands such as Wrendale Designs to official Harry Potter. Our walls were full of almost everything.

Now taking on new premises in Sudbury town centre, this time on Gaol Lane and with two additional self contained pop-up units available to hire we are able to provide even more opportunities to support independent businesses.

Our workshops are moving into the community and will include Italian cooking with an expert chef, crochet, glass painting, gin experiences, quilting, cake artistry with an award winning baker and cake artist, needle felting, jewellery making, macramé and many more. These will be available daytime and evening.
