About

Lavenham ‘s started its journey in October 2014. Greg was manager at a local wholesale meat company and with his wife Jen {ex vegetarian} by his side they started their dream journey of supplying Lavenham with Suffolk’s Finest Produce!

The two embarked on a high welfare, locally farmed meat to table mission.

Both keen on showcasing traditional butchery, low food miles and showcasing Suffolk’s finest food, the duo recognised that good food can be locally sourced and sustainable, and believe the truth is in the tasting… and it is!

Low food miles means less stress for the animal and ultimately delivers a better tasting meat.

With Shimpling Farm, Brights farm, Blythburgh farm, Philip Turnbull Gosbeck Farm, Phillip Truin from Felsham with his free range Chickens, ‘s and Geese all on board the Lavenham ‘s journey began.

Our Lavenham family consists of

Greg Master Butcher Ex Chef ,Deer stalker and Woodland Manager to DSC 3

Jen our Pie maker, PR/ Media Marketing/Website manager and stalker DSC 1.

Andy our lovely, smiley Master with many years experience and knowledge, Andy’s been here us since pretty much we began in 2014, a crucial part of the LB family.

Seb has been a for many years and is proving to be a bespoke passionate Master a much needed key to the LB family, also a passionate Stalker.

Paul joined the team just before Christmas 2019, Paul is a trained Deerstalker and has been a since 1980. With lots of recipes and ideas I feel a recipe book is on its way! Paul is also our chief Smokehouse !

Our newest member to the team is Mark Hull formally of Ruse’s Butchers in Long Melford. We were so saddened to hear of the closure last year but glad we are keeping Mark in a job he loves, and keeping him close to home! A great Butcher with showmanship counter displays!

Our newest recruit to the Pie Kitchen is Super Stella recently made redundant after 24 years from a local Silk Factory, a passionate foodie, always with her finger in a cookery book with an eye for excellence. A much welcomed member to the team!

We aim to provide a great service with ample tips on what to cook, how to cook, and what else could complement your meal.
