Lorfords is a traditional specialist tobacconist, in the old-fashioned style, which has been trading at or near its present location in the town for at least a hundred years. As well as a baffling range of pipe & hand-rolling tobaccos, snuffs and cigarettes, the shop features a walk-in humidor where numerous Cuban and other hand-made cigars can be found.

The gamut of smokers’ requisites is also available - from beautiful briar wood pipes to whatever filter or tool your particular habit might call for. Some of these items already make for great gift ideas and Lorfords complements that with other ranges including pocket knives, drinking flasks and shaving accessories. Confectionery rounds off the offering, with the shop being especially well known for its seasonal collections of boutique chocolates and sweets. Do be warned that Lorfords also operates as a regular corner newsagent and confectioner so can be very busy, particularly on Saturdays when everybody comes in for their National Lottery tickets!
