We want to make sure that your stay at The Mill Hotel is unforgettable – and that time spent with us is time just for you. We offer a wide range of services to make your stay with us as relaxing as possible.

Melding rural serenity with modern convenience, The Mill’s 62 rooms invite escape from the everyday. Think warm, soothing tones, exposed beams and views of the meadows rolling quietly into the distance. The country aesthetic is complemented by an array of amenities; every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, complimentary Wi-Fi, a hospitality tray, hairdryer and iron. Contemporary bathrooms are a distinctive reflection of the rooms, each with either a bath or a shower and complimentary toiletries.

And shouldn’t pups be allowed to get lost in the countryside, too? We welcome the four-legged into our bar with open arms and provide three selective dog-friendly rooms for an additional £12 per dog, per night.

About The Mill
A mill has stood on this site for at least 1000 years – it is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and probably dates back to the Saxon origins of the town. Behind the mill, on the other side of Walnut Tree Lane, the ground level rises steeply to the site of the Saxon settlement. Stretching away below the mill is Freemans Great Common which was given to the town by Richard de Clare in 1260 and where cattle still graze in the summer months.
