The Primitive Home is run by myself, Lizzie and is borne from a passion for all things interior.

A few months prior to Lockdown in 2020, I started an Instagram account to document the renovation progress of our 16th century cottage in Suffolk (@cottage.on.the.corner), the support, friendships and inspiration gained through that platform has been and still is amazing. It also firmly cemented my passion in interiors and following a Covid related redundancy from my 9-5 desk job in the Corporate world, gave me the push I needed to focus on something that I can inject some passion into... and so here we are!

I have always loved creating homely spaces and searching for the perfect items, so I take a huge amount of joy from sourcing each of the pieces you will come across in the shop. Whether vintage or new, I will always find myself drawn to pieces which are crafted from natural materials, as I believe these bring an important touch of warmth and texture to the home. It is also very important to me that our pieces have a simple, timeless aesthetic, thus ensuring that they will still have a place in the home even when our interior styles change and evolve (which if you're anything like me, they do constantly!)
