Part of Sudbury’s town centre since 1947, Wardale Williams Opticians is a well-established independent optician. We can offer you expert advice and outstanding care as the only optician in the area to have an OCT (3D scanner of the eye which is normally seen in hospitals). This can detect eye conditions years before you notice any symptoms.

Brands we sell include Ray-Ban, Maui Jim, Silhouette, WOOW and William Morris London. We stock all major brands of contact lenses.

Parking in the town centre is readily available, with some disabled bays outside the practice.

We are a regulated NHS Practice and operate to the highest standards including appointment-only entry, giving you a safe and pleasant visit.

Free hearing care assessments are now available.

We also offer visual stress testing with our colorimeter.

We were a finalist in UK Family Practice of the Year in 2018 and see patients of all ages. We also won the Community Involvement Award from the EADT Business Awards in 2017 and Local and Loved UK Optician of the Year in 2015.

We don't have our own car park but we are centrally located in Sudbury and so only a short walking distance away from public parking.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday-Friday 9-5pm, Saturday 9-1pm and closed Sundays.
